What does the title mean? How does the title and the contrasts within it provide symbolic summary of the film?
The title is slumdog mllionary iand i think it means any one can become millionary wiht the determination and beign intelligent and It's related to the story of the movie on how a boy that lived in extreme poverty when he was little and he haven`t nothing not even a cent then he become millionarie when he was older.
Early in the film we see the young Jamal dive into a latrine pit to steal a glimpse at a visiting movie star. How does his single-mindedness to see this movie star reveal his determination? What other examples do you see in the film of his determination?
I think a loto f things Jamal did in the movie shows his determination and that he woulkd do anything to get what he wants, one example is the way he gain does millions in the game, and another example Could be when he met Latika and she disappeared he makes everything to be with her again.
In the film, the theme of destiny is a central theme. What does it mean that all Jamal desires is just out of his reach? (The prized autograph, Latika, his brother, the answers, etc.)
That life was putting him obstacles to see if he can overcome then and gain the destiny he had and he did even though the obstacles that we saw in the movie were hard, but he ngot a good ending.
I think that is almost impossible somebody becsome millionaire that way but even though it is, becasue it happen once in the real proggram but not with a porr guy like him, but I think that that is was so big his desire to be amillionaire that the mind is so powerful that make him anwer correct, and also I like that he never forget about LAtika, that when he become millionaire he went and look for her.
ResponderEliminari agreee with Arianna it almost impossible to become millionaire, but it is possible that people leave in such a poverty and low life conditions, we know this is just a movie, but it's content reminds us about the situations poor little childrens suffer just to survive in a cruel world like this one.
ResponderEliminarI agree with ariana, the guy desired so much becoming rich that he eventually got it, besides, the part where the guy still looks for Latika shows us SOME people have good hearts.
